Official: EBRD sells stake in Transcapitalbank to group of investors
MOSCOW, Jul 3 (PRIME) -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has sold its 27.766% stake in Transcapitalbank to a group of investors, including daughter of founder of Bank Vozrozhdenie Tatyana Orlova, a representative of the bank told PRIME on Tuesday.
“Withdrawal from the list of shareholders of Transcapitalbank was a strategic decision which has been planned for some time. The shares were sold to a group of investors, one of whom was indeed Tatyana Orlova,” the official said.
According to the EBRD representative, the bank has no plans to sell its stakes in other Russian banks because each of its projects has own lifecycle.
